Somatic Expressive Arts Therapy
Reclaim a fuller expression of yourself, life and relationship—imbued with choice, meaning and your own efficacy.
I am an Expressive Arts Therapist (EXAT) and Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) who specializes in issues related to mood, grief and loss, relationships, life transitions, trauma, addiction and eating disorders. I am licensed to work with Colorado-based clients under the supervision of Dr. Shara Brun. I work full-time as a primary therapist at La Luna Center in Boulder, CO supporting adults with eating disorders primarily in partial hospitalization. I am accepting clients to my private practice on a part-time basis, primarily virtually—in-person in Boulder upon request.
My work is grounded in expressive arts therapy, body-oriented psychotherapy and mindfulness and is informed both by robust clinical training and spiritual orientation. I offer a person-centered approach and a deep trust in all my clients’ ability to cope effectively and meaningfully with life. My work empowers adults to recover the authentic self often masked during normative development but especially in the wake of trauma and loss.
I draw from the bi-lateral nature of my clinical and creative background to integrate evidence-based principles with an expressive approach that is suited to individual client needs. I work verbally and experientially with clients to explore the insight and skills that support self-compassion, psychological resilience, emotional and creative expression as well as relational authenticity.
